Amplifier Remote Gain Control Instructions

  1. Separate pieces

DO NOT CUT PLASTIC ZIP TIE WHICH SECURES THE WIRES.  Only remove the twist tie.  Using a small flathead screwdriver, loosen the set screw located on the side of knob.  Remove knob, nut, and washer.

  1. Choose a mounting location

Find a location on the dash which is appropriate for mounting the device.  This location should be within easy reach of the driver. It also must be a location which can be accessed from the rear. The rear side of this spot must be clear of wires, cables, hoses, etc.

  1. Drill mounting hole

Drill a 5/16” hole in the chosen mounting location.  To prevent damage to vehicle, do not drill deeper than necessary.  In some cases, starting with smaller pilot drill bits may prevent the dash from cracking.

  1. Mount device

From the rear of the dash, insert the shaft end into the hole until several threads are completely visible.  While holding the device steady from the rear, insert the washer, and screw the nut on.  Tighten the nut using a wrench or pliers.  Install the knob and tighten the set screw.

  1. Make audio connections

Connect the male RCA ends from the device to the female RCA outputs of the head unit.  Connect the female RCA ends from the device to the Male ends of the existing RCA cables which tie to the amplifier.
