Speaker Adapter Plate Instructions

1.       fit pieces

Align the aftermarket speaker with the speaker plate to make sure that the speaker fits with it, and that the holes line up.  Align the speaker plate with factory opening to make sure that fit together, and that the holes line up.  Also check for depth clearance. In cases where depth clearance is not sufficient, speaker spacers can be purchased at www.mjmautoinnovations.com

2.   Secure Adapter plate

Screw the speaker adapter plate to the factory opening using the screws which secured the factory speaker.  In some cases, it may be necessary to use a washer (not included). On some kits, the holes are indented on one side of the plate.  When installing these plates, install them so that the indent is on the outside of the hole, so that the screw head doesn’t protrude the surface of the plate.

3.   Make electrical connections

Be sure that the polarity is correct

4.       Screw the speaker to speaker adapter plate

Screw the aftermarket speaker to the speaker adapter plate.  Follow the diagram below for proper bolt installation.

                5.  Repeat on other side
